Privacy Policy

Effective 3 August 2026 · Minimo Studio for iPhone

Minimo Studio is built around one principle: your videos never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in practice — and is honest about the one third party that is involved in the free version.

1. Videos and files

Every tool — Compress, Convert, Trim and Join — runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's AVFoundation framework and hardware encoders. We do not upload, store, transmit, or have any access to your videos, audio or images at any point. There are no servers to send them to; we don't operate any.

When you pick a video from your photo library or from Files, Minimo copies it into its own private temporary folder so it can work on it. The original is never modified, moved or deleted. Files you choose from the Files app or iCloud Drive stay exactly where they are.

2. Information we do not collect

The app does not collect:

3. What is stored on your device

Minimo Studio keeps two small pieces of information locally, and neither ever leaves your iPhone:

4. Information collected by third parties

The free version of Minimo Studio displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect limited technical information necessary to serve those ads, including:

If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, Google will only show non-personalised advertisements and will not link this device to advertising profiles. Google never receives your videos or any information about them.

You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Minimo. Buying Minimo Pro removes advertising from the app entirely, and with it this third party.

5. Purchases

If you buy Minimo Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details, billing address or Apple Account. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Minimo Studio checks your purchase status locally on your device so Pro stays unlocked across launches, and across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. No purchase data is sent to us — again, we have no servers.

6. Photo library access

Choosing a video uses Apple's system photo picker, which hands Minimo only the item you selected — the app cannot browse or read the rest of your library.

If you tap Save to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add to your photo library. This is add-only access: Minimo can put a finished video or GIF in, and can never read what is already there. You can revoke it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Minimo. Audio files (M4A) cannot be stored in Photos at all, so those are saved through the Share sheet instead — to Files, for example.

7. Data retention

Working copies and finished files live in the app's private temporary folder. They are cleared when you start a new job from the home screen, and any leftovers from an interrupted session are swept the next time you open the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored, apart from the small free-allowance record described in section 3.

8. Children's privacy

Minimo Studio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that may have involved third-party advertising data collection, please contact us and we will help.

9. Your rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is no account or profile for us to export or delete on request. For data handled by Google AdMob you have rights under applicable laws, including the GDPR in the EU/EEA and the CCPA in California; you can exercise those directly with Google through the link in section 4, or by turning tracking off as described there.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and material changes will be reflected in an app update.
