It stays inside the app until you send it somewhere. Tap Share to hand it to any app — that's also how you save to Files. Tap Save to Photos to put a video or a GIF in your photo library; GIFs stay animated. Audio files (M4A) can't be stored in Photos at all, so the button isn't shown for those — use Share instead.

No. With the HEVC codec, Minimo preserves HDR color end to end. If you switch to H.264 for maximum compatibility it converts to standard (SDR) color cleanly — and you'll see a note on screen before it happens.

HEVC produces smaller files at the same quality and keeps HDR, and it plays on modern Apple devices and most current platforms. Choose H.264 when you need the widest possible compatibility — older devices and some upload tools.

Trimming never re-encodes, so it's instant and lossless. Minimo moves the start to the nearest real keyframe rather than hiding the difference with an edit list — that's why the handle snaps slightly when you let go, and it's why the file plays identically everywhere, not just on Apple devices.

Choose your clips, drag them into the order you want, and Minimo stitches them into one video. The first clip sets the frame. Clips that already share the same size, codec and orientation are joined losslessly — you'll see a "Lossless" badge; if they differ, Minimo fits them to the first clip's frame without cropping and re-encodes the result.

GIFs store every frame as a separate image, so length matters far more than resolution. Minimo already limits them to 12 fps and scales the long edge down to 480 px, but a long clip will still make a big file. Trim it first, then convert — a few seconds is the sweet spot for sharing.

The free version handles up to 3 videos a day across every tool, with no watermark and every option unlocked, and is supported by ads. The count resets each day. Minimo Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the limit and turns the ads off for good.

Tap the gear icon on the home screen to open Settings, then tap Restore Purchase while signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy it. Pro works on every device signed in to that account.

Never. Every tool runs on your iPhone. Minimo Studio has no servers, no analytics and no account. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which never receives your video or anything about it — see the privacy policy for the details.
